Hinulugang Taktak
Antipolo, Rizal PH.
Written by Maricirs Perida & Genesis Roxas
Hinulugang taktak is one of Antipolo’s trademark aside from suman & kasoy and of course Antipolo Cathedral. We went at Hinulugang taktak at around 10:30 am, Friday. The entrance and parking are both free. You just have to register your name, age and address.

There are clean pathway running the length of the stream, and a view deck area in the front of the falls. I like the simplicity of the place since there’s a lot of trees, swimming pool and a picnic cottage. It’s a nice place to have picnic with your family and friends and it is also a place for relaxation.

The place is not crowded, when went down stairs, you may see a lot of trees and shades. The staircase is safe for kids and elders. The sound of the falls is very relaxing, same as the chirping of birds and the great wind blows coming from the trees. It is worth it to see the beautiful view of falls, trees, birds and everything that exists in nature.

The park with falls or Hinulugang taktak is also the most accessible place to visit because it’s near in Metro Manila and Antipolo Cathedral.

From Antripolo Cathedral you may ride a tricycle to reach this park. And it only costs 10 pesos per person. But if you’re the only one who wants to go in the park, the fare costs 50 pesos. The park opens at 9am and closes at 5pm. Although the falls is a bit smelly, there’s an amazing nature experience you can encounter here in Hinulugang Taktak.

The government maintains the cleanliness of the area, so many visitors will visit the place. It is a must see attraction, a wonderful view of nature and a peaceful yet relaxing place to visit in Antipolo City, Rizal!
